Fashion Talks w/Daisy

After attending all these fashion events and meeting all the stylish bloggers and fashionable people, I felt inspired to get back to my first love, Fashion. It started with a visit to the new Neiman Marcus in Walnut Creek to the VIP party of the Annual SF Fashion Film Festival. Working at my day job, my business attire of black pencil skirts and powder blue button-ups had made my daily wardrobe a freakin’ bore. So I had this fancy idea of having a little photoshoot to lift up my fashion spirits and called lulu up. Here are some of the necessities that every girl needs in their wardrobe.

My Style: I am a classic kind of gal. My sister tells me I dress too old for my age, but I love to stay classic and simple. I don’t like to wear too much patterns, but if I do, I usually match it with a solid piece. This floral skirt is busy with flowers so I decided to match it with a solid navy blue top.

Blazers&Skirts: I love blazers and pencil skirts. I believe that every woman should have one of each in their wardrobe. For me, this outfit empowers me to go after my goals within my career. A splash of color (especially red) really brings out the more stylish side to an outfit that can easily become dull.

Day&Night: Ready to leave the office and hit up happy hour with your co-workers? Here’s my mash-up of both day and night outfits. Fitted pencil skirts are always flattering whatever event it may be. Just switch up the top for a more “night out” look.

Me being a good homemaker

Ohhh so much fun prancing around in my little black dress

The Black Dress: I have probably twelve or so little black dresses. They are my go-to emergency dresses. If all else fails, the little black dress prevails. Stock up on these bad boys.

I look forward to shopping (for simplestella of course) and taking pictures of all the goodies in my closet. Until then!-Daisy

Osha Thai Adventures 03/10

Me and lu ended up competing taking pictures of these peanuts. Anyways, I guess her ass wins.

Essay VS. Osha Thai? Yea right, Osha Thai Wins!

In SF, it is rare to find a swanky lounge/restaurant that has an affordable menu. Thankfully, I discovered Osha Thai a couple of years ago.

Last saturday, I took Lu with me to get some happy hour drinks and eats before meeting up with some other friends. We were working at our day job earlier in the day and I basically had to convince her to forget about her essay and come frolick in the city with me. We went to the lounge on Embarcadero. I love the convenient parking garage. It’s a bitch to find parking in the city. The happy hour menu is amazing. Seven dollar special cocktails!??! Count me in. We started with the lychee martini. Deliciously light and fruity, this martini even came with a magenta orchid floating atop.

You have to order Volcanic Beef. It comes with onion rings!! (Way better then Burger King's)

Girl Talk about Boys Men

We ended up having some girl talk about boys. Correction, Men.  Lu has a boyfriend, and I am the single one. She basically mentors me, and I go in the complete opposite direction. Once you get to know us a little bit in our future posts, you know that our dynamic personalities mesh together but our dating patterns? A complete opposite.  She is my Marshall, and I am her Ted Mosby. She may be my Barney Stinson, minus all the sexcapades.

Pad Thai w/Chicken.

Anyways, we ended up getting a bit buzzed and I got a bit irate at the conversation about men so we ordered some Pad Thai w/chicken and Volcanic Beef. And another drink. I forgot what it’s called, but it was delicious. It had four types of liquor in it, and it was reddish?? I don’t remember. If you ask the bartender, just say, “it has 4 types of liquor, and these two asian chicks had it and said it was delish” Note to foodie: If you ever go to an Osha Thai, order the Volcanic beef. The meet is tender and the sauce is perfect.

After hopping into my jeep wrangler (I gotta name it something, maybe Dundee?), we were well satisfied with our visit to Osha. We ended up venturing off to other places. But that’s all secret for now. Until next time. ;)
